What we do...

We are one of the largest providers of Traffic Management in the South of England

We are a progressive, independent business operating across the South, from London to Cornwall. We are big enough to operate schemes of any size but small enough to build close collaborative relationships with our clients. Our expertise and service levels ensure we fulfill contracts to the highest standard of quality and safety. We advise on current legislation and our many years of industry experience means we provide effective, safe and cost efficient traffic management schemes. We provide full-scheme design, consultancy and planning services, incorporating Computer Aided Design (CAD) mapping and state of the art traffic control equipment.

We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year to ensure full support for our clients, with our administrative office team available 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.

Design & Planning

We provide a full scheme design, consultancy and planning service.

Using the latest CONE 11 software we create Computer Aided Design (CAD) layouts to provide the most effective and efficient methods of managing traffic, while adhering to current legislation. This ensures we can implement schemes in a safe and cost effective manner by eliminating inaccuracies and building more efficient workflows.

All of our planners are trained to deliver accurate and site-specific schemes that meet all Local Authority and Highways Authority requirements, including:

  • Site surveys

  • Notices

  • Scheme planning and design

  • CAD drawings and plans

  • Method statements

  • Risk assessments

Our Equipment

Our lighting equipment is designed and built in the UK by 2 of the leading manufacturers Pike and Hollco. They both meet the requirements of the latest Government specifications.

All our lights are fully compatible with the Pike traffic control system for urban applications (UTC).

We use the latest technology (EVO series Pike system) to keep traffic disruption to a minimum. We can provide a simple 2-way shuttle traffic control system through to larger, more complex junction control. Our systems provide control for up to 9 vehicle phases and 8 pedestrian crossing points.

Following recent government changes to Traffic Signs Regulations & General Directions (TSRGD), which made provision for pedestrian facilities on sites controlled by portable traffic signals, we have invested in new equipment and processes.

As well as fully automated systems we can provide fully qualified and experienced staff to manually operate systems on all road types.

As our temporary traffic lights are battery powered it means they are the most environmentally friendly lights available and can contribute to your ISO9001 requirements. Where lights are required for extended periods of time, there is also the option to run lights from a mains supply.

We also use handheld PDAs, that utilise the latest Syrinx software, in order to effectively monitor and track the installation of our traffic managements systems.

" Hooke Highways went the extra mile – especially on the High Profile Project at Draycott which involved a 40 mile diversion route. Their overall approach with the TM and stakeholder engagement on this project was commended as a very good example of how a project should be managed. "
