Health, Safety, Quality & the Environment

We pride ourselves on our robust Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management systems.

The safety of all road users is our primary concern and function – we are proud to be certificated by Achilles UVDB, Constructionline, Acclaim and SafeContractor.

We are also a Full Member of the Traffic Management Contractors Association (TMCA) – a trade association which strives to increase safety standards throughout the TM sector by establishing and leading the highest industry standards in health, safety, innovation and technology.

We are UVDB Achilles approved and are proud to be certified by BM Trada to meet the following robust ISO certifications:​

Training & Development

We train our staff to the highest industry standards, including Lantra – the industry sector scheme standard (12D, M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, M7, 12AB).

Our additional health and safety training means our staff are trained appropriately to meet the needs of our clients and to ensure all staff and members of the public are kept safe.

We continually up-skill our workforce to ensure we have a core of highly skilled, competent and experienced staff. New team members are mentored and trained to enable them to learn and develop in a fully supported environment.

Many of our team members have developed with us via our Training Scheme, which has been invaluable in allowing our staff to professionally develop. The scheme ensures all of our team feel valued and engaged – they form an intrinsic part of our Hooke Highways family.
